become elephant ears.

Even if your wings become elephant ears,

make art.

I am blessed to have a Creative Support Partnership in my life. Indeed, I have more than one of these at the moment.

In case you haven’t noticed, I highly recommend seeking all kinds of support and nourishment for your creative process, from Creativity Coaching to informal arrangements with peers and friends.
A little encouragement goes a long way.

I ready myself for a phone conversation of mutual exchange with my Creative Partner, about our various creative projects, dreams, doubts and practical steps.

I doodle in an art journal in preparation.

I talk with my Creative Partner. We read our writings to each other.

I listen.

I doodle with watercolour and felt pen. Ganesh – the Indian God of Good Fortune and Remover of Obstacles, emerges in our chat.

I doodle.

I play half-consciously with the materials at hand while I listen deeply.

Oh My Ganesh! Wings have morphed into elephant ears.

Maybe flying helps you listen.

Or maybe listening helps you fly.
