For now, you’ve reached the ‘About’ page, which is where I get to tell you more about me, moi, myself.
Please feel free to respectfully engage with the website, the blog and with each other.
About me?
I’m Sally Swain
Artist, author, creativity coach, art therapist
In an earlier life, I conceived, painted and wrote four books, including the international bestseller, ‘Great Housewives of Art’.
For over twenty years, I’ve been facilitating creativity via Art and Soul Creativity Coaching. I love this work.
In the last few years, I’ve been working as an art therapist in the aged care community, including residents, staff and carers.
If you wish to know a bit more about me and where I’m coming from, click on a Sally Swain interview. Creativity afficionado Val Andrews interviewed me for her excellent ‘Art for Happiness’ blog.
Here’s another blurb about me from the heartening, inspiring Creative Doctors Australia blog. Reigniting Creativity.
Here are a couple of photos of participants at play in ‘Colouring Out’ Art and Soul playshop
Am inspired by friend’s comment below: So congratulations on the launching of your website – may the goddess bless all who sail in it.
I wish to share with you the closest thing I have to a goddessy-boaty-blessy image.
Here is Boat Angel. I painted her a couple of years back.
She appears to be resting in a boat while watching over it.
You can find a whole heap of my original paintings over at Sally Swain Art on Facebook.
What do you see in the painting, I wonder?
Great start Sally San. I’m looking forward to a wonderous unfolding of creativity in this space – and/or a honest exploration of the trials and tribulations of your creative journey (by which I guess I mean – your life)….
So congratulations on the launching of your website – may the goddess bless all who sail in it.

Thank you dear friend…What a wonderful blessing and invitation to share more of my creative journey aka LIFE! You are kind. It’s great to be affirmed.
May we each and every one of us be affirmed in our creative output.
And…I must say, I find your wording most creative, poetic, imagic (is that a word? imagic? a cross between imaginative and magic?).
Might there have to be a painting or two of a goddess launching a ship?

I actually have a map, which I’ll be posting at the end of the month, but here’s a preview: I picked six blogs pretty much at random, looked for six followers a day, then looked at whoever followed me back and did the same. So, Family #5 started with a blog called TheAnalyzedLife, which led to TheLearnify, which led to Fernanda Guevara, which led to Madhavi Singh, which led to AlphaWhiskeyFoxtrot, which led to Sand Salt Moon, which led to you 🙂 if you follow me back and one of your followers does too, you’ll be my longest chain so far!
